Which tool?
- ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and Grok can all write good emails on their free plans.
- Gemini in Gmail and Docs is part of Google's paid AI plans. If you're on the free plan, copy and paste between the Gemini app and your email.
A prompt that works
Tell the chatbot four things: who it's to, what you want, the tone, and the length. For example: "Write a friendly email to my landlord asking for the leaking tap to be fixed this week. Under 120 words. Australian English."
